How Do I Claim the $600 Google Ads Credit?
Published

Written by Christopher Krassnig, Founder & CEO of ZenoX Media. Answers every question here from the accounts ZenoX runs, not from theory.
The short answer
Enter the promo code on the Promotions page within 14 days of opening your Google Ads account, then spend the amount the offer asks for. Google adds the credit after a check that can take up to 35 days. The offer size changes by country and the credit itself expires, so ZenoX treats it as a small head start, never a budget.
There is no single 600 dollar offer
The amount is not fixed. Google runs new advertiser promotions country by country, so the size moves with your country, your currency, and whichever offer is live when you sign up. The 600 in the question is one version of it, not the rule.
Whatever the number, the shape never changes: you spend a set amount first, then Google matches it with a credit. It is not free money handed over up front.
The rules that catch people out
Three conditions do most of the damage. The account has to be new, under 14 days old when you enter the code, with a valid payment method on file. You cannot have advertised with Google Ads before for the same business. And the credit cannot pay for the spend requirement itself, or for anything you spent before the code went in.
Once you hit the spend, the credit is not instant either. Google runs a check to confirm you are a new advertiser, and that can take up to 35 days before the credit lands. The Promotions page in your account tracks how close you are and refreshes through the day.
What it is actually worth to a store
Treat it as a discount on your first month of learning, not as a budget. A few hundred euros of credit buys extra clicks while Google is still working out who buys from you, and that is genuinely useful. It will not make a store profitable that was never going to be.
Never build the launch around it either. If the plan only works because of a one-off coupon, the plan does not work. We launch ecom accounts on 30 to 50 euros a day of real budget and count any credit as a bonus on top.
If the credit never shows up
Two things go wrong most often. The code went in after the 14 day window, which cannot be undone, or the spend requirement was not met inside the window the offer set. Both are visible on the Promotions page.
The last trap is the expiry on the credit once it arrives. It does not sit in the account forever, so read the terms of the exact offer you claimed and plan to spend it while it is still live.
