Is $100 Enough for Google Ads?
Published

Written by Christopher Krassnig, Founder & CEO of ZenoX Media. Answers every question here from the accounts ZenoX runs, not from theory.
The short answer
No, $100 is not enough to test a store on Google Ads, but it is enough to learn how an account works. It buys about 24 clicks at $4.14. That is WordStream's 2026 US search median for shopping and gifts, read 5 November 2026. For a new feed-only Performance Max, Christopher Krassnig of ZenoX puts the minimum at €50 a day.
$100 a Month or $100 in Total?
Ask this first. $100 a month is about $3.29 a day ($100 / 30.4). $100 in total at $10 a day lasts about 10 days, or less, because a $10 daily budget can reach $20 on one day.
Google's budget is an average, set per campaign. For most campaigns, one day can reach two times your daily budget, and the month is capped at 30.4 times it. We checked those limits on 5 November 2026. So $3.29 a day tops out near $100 a month.
If you mean $100 a day, that is a different budget. The monthly cap is $3,040 for most campaigns, and that is well past the floor below.
What $100 Buys in Clicks
WordStream's 2026 search ads report puts the median click for Shopping, Collectibles and Gifts at $4.14. Across all industries it is $5.42. So $100 buys about 24 clicks at the first price and about 18 at the second.
That category's median conversion rate is 4.01%. On 24 clicks, that is about 1 conversion. You cannot tell a good product from a bad one on 1 conversion. This is a rough sum on US search medians, not a forecast.
The report covers 13,474 US search ad campaigns from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026, across 23 industries. It was last updated on 16 September 2026, and we read it on 5 November 2026. Conversions there include leads and other tracked actions, so they are not store sales. It does not cover Shopping or Performance Max, and we found no solid number for those.
What Chris Says a New Store Needs
Christopher Krassnig runs ZenoX. In his four-hour video he talks about a new feed-only Performance Max. On about €10 a day he says: "That's too small." Then: "You will never get out of the learning phase." His floor is about €50 a day: "50 is the minimum."
€50 x 30.4 is €1,520 a month. This is his view for that one campaign type, in euros. It is not a Google rule. We also sell ad management, so weigh that.
What to Do With $100 Anyway
Spend it to learn. Run one small campaign on your few best products. See what a click costs you. Read what people typed before they clicked. Do not judge a store on 24 clicks, and do not count on a sale. Nobody can promise one on this budget.
Want to learn before you spend? The Google Ads eCom Lab is $9 a month, for people selling products online. It has 18 courses and 196 lessons, read on 5 November 2026. We run it, so it points back to us.
