Why did Google Merchant Center disapprove my products?
The short answer
Google Merchant Center usually disapproves products for one of a few reasons: the price or availability on your feed does not match your website, a required detail like GTIN is missing or wrong, your site is missing clear shipping and returns policies, or the product breaks a Google policy. The Products tab tells you the exact reason for each item.
Price and availability mismatch
This is the most common one. If your feed says 29 euros but your product page shows 27, or the feed says in stock and the page says sold out, Google disapproves it. The feed and the live page have to match exactly.
Fix it by making sure your feed updates when your store does. If you use a sale price, show it correctly on the page and in the feed.
Missing or wrong product data
Google needs certain fields to trust your listing. A missing or incorrect GTIN, a bad category, or a title that does not match the product can all trigger a disapproval.
Get the GTIN right - do not guess or reuse another product's code. If a product genuinely has no GTIN, mark it correctly rather than inventing one. Wrong identifiers cause more problems than missing ones.
Site trust and policy issues
Merchant Center checks that your store looks legit. Missing shipping info, no returns policy, no contact details, or no secure checkout can hold up approval. Add clear shipping and returns pages and make sure checkout is secure.
Some disapprovals are real policy breaks - restricted products, misleading claims, or counterfeit flags. Those need the actual issue fixed, not a resubmit. Read the exact reason in the Products tab before you request another review.
