Why did Merchant Center suspend me for misrepresentation when I used my own store name instead of my supplier's brand?
The short answer
Using your own store name instead of your supplier's brand is allowed, so that is not what triggered the suspension. The real trigger is that your store still looks like a reseller front to Google - supplier logos in your images, a thin contact page, missing shipping and returns info, or details that do not match your site. Fix those, then request a review.
What Google actually checks
Google does not care what you call your store. It cares whether the store as a whole looks like a real brand or like a drop-in reseller front running someone else's catalog under a new name.
Misrepresentation flags fire when the pieces do not add up: product photos that still carry a supplier's logo or watermark, an About or contact page that is thin or fake, and shipping or returns details that are missing or do not match what your product pages say.
The tells that give you away
The biggest giveaway is images. If your product photos are lifted straight from the supplier and still show their logo, packaging, or watermark, Google reads that as a reseller front even if your store name is unique.
A thin contact page, no real returns policy, or product descriptions copied from a supplier that also appear on ten other stores add up the same way. None of these break a rule on their own, but together they paint the picture Google is scanning for.
How to fix it and get back live
Swap in your own photos or cleanly rebranded versions of the supplier images. Write a real About page, add a working contact method, and make sure shipping times and return terms on your site match exactly what you tell Google.
Do this before you request a review, not after. Reviews on unresolved issues usually fail and can slow down the next one. Once the store genuinely reads like a real brand, resubmit and it should clear.
