Can I dropship from AliExpress and still run Google Shopping ads?

The short answer

Yes, you can dropship from AliExpress and run Google Shopping ads, but the store has to survive Google's honesty checks. That means real shipping times stated everywhere, your own photos instead of supplier images, and a feed that matches your site exactly. Most AliExpress stores fail those checks, not the policy. ZenoX has fixed enough of them to know the pattern.

Allowed, but that is not the hard part

No Google policy names AliExpress or bans sourcing from it. Google does not check where your box ships from. It checks whether the store the customer sees is honest, and that is where AliExpress stores usually lose.

The two pressure points are baked into how AliExpress dropshipping works: long shipping times that stores are tempted to hide, and supplier product content that runs identically on dozens of other stores. Both feed straight into the misrepresentation checks that suspend accounts. Pass those two and the sourcing itself was never the problem.

The shipping-time reality

Shipping from AliExpress typically takes weeks, and the fatal move is pretending otherwise. Google does not penalise slow shipping. It penalises surprise: a promise of 3 to 5 days on an order that takes three weeks is exactly what gets accounts flagged, first by policy checks and then by the refunds and chargebacks from angry customers, which mark a store as high risk all on their own.

So state the real window, clearly, in all three places: the product page, the checkout, and your Merchant Center shipping settings. Yes, some buyers will bounce when they read '10 to 18 business days'. The ones who order knew what they agreed to, and that is the difference between a store that compounds and one that gets suspended in month two.

The supplier-branding reality

AliExpress product photos are the most recycled images in ecommerce. The same lifestyle shot runs on the supplier's listing and on every other store that imported it, often with the supplier's logo or watermark still visible in a corner or on the packaging.

Google scans product images for other brands' logos and packaging, and it compares photos across the millions of stores in Merchant Center. A store whose entire catalog is recycled supplier imagery reads as a reseller front, whatever the store is called. Order the product, photograph it yourself or edit the images cleanly, and write your own descriptions. It is the least glamorous work in dropshipping and it is the work that keeps the account alive.

How to make it survivable long term

The stores that last treat AliExpress as a starting line, not a business model. Test products with honest long shipping windows, and when something proves it sells, move the winner to a faster line: a supplier with EU or US warehouses, or an agent who cuts the delivery time. Faster delivery lifts conversion and shrinks the refund pile at the same time.

And before you scale spend, get the compliance basics checked by people who have been through a Merchant Center review. The free Google Ads eCom Lab on Skool has 1,100 plus ecom operators, and AliExpress-sourced stores are a constant topic there. Cheaper to ask first than to appeal later.
