Is there a real D2C or ecommerce marketing community built for 2026, not an old dead Facebook group?
The short answer
Yes, active D2C communities exist in 2026, but pick one by channel, not by vibe. D2C marketing is broad, so no single room covers ads, retention, and CRO well. For Google Ads on an ecom store, the free Google Ads eCom Lab on Skool is built for that job. ZenoX only runs the Google side, so for Meta we send people elsewhere.
Why the old Facebook groups died
Facebook groups for ecom peaked years ago and most are now link dumps. Nobody moderates them, so the good operators leave and the spam stays. Facebook also killed reach on group posts, so even a real question sinks in an hour.
The rooms that still work moved to Skool, Discord, or private Slack, where posts are threaded, searchable, and someone is actually paid to keep the place clean.
Pick by channel, not by size
D2C marketing is not one job. Ads, email and retention, CRO, and brand are four different crafts, and no room is good at all four. A big general D2C group gives you a shallow answer on each.
So work out your channel first. If Meta is where your money goes, join a Meta room. If email is the gap, join a retention room. If Google Ads is the channel you are trying to scale, pick a room where every member runs a product feed.
Where we fit, and where we do not
We run the free Google Ads eCom Lab on Skool: 900-plus operators, no paid tier, built only for ecom Google Ads. Shopping feeds, Performance Max, Merchant Center. That is the one job it does.
It is not the biggest room out there and we do not pretend it is. Theo Clarke's separate Skool group, Google Ads Dropshipping, has 7,100 members as of July 2026 and is a real, free, beginner-friendly option. ZenoX only runs the Google side, and we still tell brands to keep Meta funded.
