Are Dropshipping Skool Communities Worth It?
Published

The short answer
A dropshipping Skool community can be worth joining if its people run real stores now and talk about profit, not just sales screenshots. Start with a free group. Pay only when a store owner there will help with a specific problem, at a fee you can justify. We run the free Google Ads eCom Lab on Skool, so weigh that, and test us too.
Why Reddit Says Run
The top result for this search is a Reddit thread in r/dropshipping. The poster's point is simple. Lots of dropshippers end up selling courses, Discords and Skool groups, because that is where the steady money is. His advice: when someone answers a real question with "join my Skool, it's free", walk away. "Nothing is truly free online."
He is half right. Running a store means refunds, bans, payment holds and bad weeks. Selling a room is calmer income, and one reply in the thread says exactly that. So yes, a lot of rooms exist to sell you something.
The best reply gives the fix. Ask if the person talks about profit, refund rate, compliance and failed tests, or only about screenshots and "DM me". In a second thread, someone warns that hanging out in these groups can "compound bad education". Also fair.
How Skool Makes Money, and Why It Matters to You
Skool charges the group owner, not you. On 9 October 2026 Skool listed two plans. Hobby costs $9 a month, and Skool keeps 10% plus 30 cents of every member payment. Pro costs $99 a month, and Skool keeps 2.9% plus 30 cents, or 3.9% plus 30 cents on payments above $900. So when a group charges members, Skool takes a cut.
A free group brings the owner no membership fees. So there is usually a reason it exists. The owner might sell a course, a paid tier, software or a service. Skool also pays owners 40% of the plan price when someone they refer starts their own group. None of that is bad on its own. A hidden reason is the problem. If the about page does not show how a room makes money, treat that as your answer.
What Free and Paid Rooms Cost Right Now
Three real examples, read from their own Skool pages.
Google Ads Dropshipping by Theo Clarke: free, 7,963 members on 8 October 2026. It is the largest of the Google Ads dropshipping rooms we checked, and a solid first stop if you have never launched a campaign. It is not ours.
UNLMTD by Maxim Benedictus: $239 a month, 71 members, 5.0 from 3 reviews on 9 October 2026. It sells an A to Z course from store to Merchant Center to ads, plus 1-on-1 audits of how well your store turns visitors into buyers. A small paid room like that makes sense when your store gets visitors but few sales, and one fix could earn you more than $239.
Google Ads eCom Lab, ours: free core with 1,600+ members and 5.0 from 15 reviews on Skool. Free members get the community, a weekly Google Ads question thread, case studies, teardowns and a vault of checklists and audits. Premium is $44 a month and adds direct answers from our media buyers within 24 hours on weekdays. VIP is $199 a month and includes weekly calls. It is free for Scaley AI users. Both paid tiers are optional.
Five Checks Before You Join Any Room
1. Who answers? Look for named people who run live stores or ad accounts this month, not just the founder's old story.
2. What do the posts show? Profit, refund rates, Merchant Center suspensions and tests that failed. If every post is a revenue screenshot, leave.
3. Is it alive? Read the last seven days. Count real answers against emojis and "check your DMs".
4. What costs money, and what do you get for it? Find the price of every tier before you join, not after the welcome call.
5. What happens when you say no? If the help stops once you skip the upsell, it was a sales list, not a community.
Our Own Motive, Said Out Loud
ZenoX is a Google Ads agency. We run ads for 300+ stores on our current roster, and a lot of them are dropshipping stores. The eCom Lab exists because some members later hire us. That is the business model.
We only take stores that spend at least €10K a month on ads. Below that, we point people to the free room to learn it themselves first. Already past that line? Our Google Ads dropshipping agency page shows the full fee ladder.
So run the five checks on us too. If the free room does not help you, leave. It costs nothing to find out.
